Tumor Board

Tumor board is a multidisciplinary conference of physician specialists in radiology, pathology, research, surgical, medical and radiation oncology, which meets weekly to discuss cancer cases. Such forums benefit patients whose cases are discussed, as well as physicians and staff who gain new insights and information from their colleagues’ experience. During the last year Providence Cancer Center hosted 142 Tumor Board conferences, at which 378 cases were presented. Patients can ask their physicians to present their case at a Tumor Board conference.
